Default Right Window Switch

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab. Occasionally, when I try to use the window switch on the passenger side, it does not work. I can always use the switch on the driver's side. Other times it seems to work fine. I ordered a new switch and installed it on the passenger side, and it does not work.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Dawiz

i've got the same problem only with a '03 dakota quad cab and it's every passenger window switch. they can all be opened from the driver's door switches, but not individually. i'm guessing there's something going on with a fuse, or relay? the problem's intermittent. since the switches are identical (i'm guessing) then there's probably a common problem...any takers?

The power for the passengers and other window switches goes through the drivers switch first. It sounds like the drivers switch is bad......

There is a window lock button on the driver side that will disable all the other door switches. It is easily hit by mistake and you don't even know it.

already tried the driver's side window lock (first thing i checked as a matter of fact) and the other windows still won't open/close. i'm curious since the power for the other three go through the driver's switch; would not the driver's switch not open/close the driver's side window as well? it's the only switch that works. i don't have access to a schematic so i guess it could be possible but before i purchase an overpriced dealer part i'd like to be sure...

I had a similar issue when I installed my speakers. Turned out I didn't completely seat the driver's side window switches. Apparently, no windows work when the driver's side switches aren't fully connected. Since the problem is intermittent, check the switch module to see if it's a tad loose.
