Default Running Cold!!!

I've had my 2007 1500 Hemi about 6 months...during the warmer months my truck took about 3 to 4 miles of city driving to get to temp... Now the temp has dropped to 15 deg, and It takes about 15 min, or 10 miles to get to temp... The Dodge service tells me that normal...I don't think so. I think I have a bad Thermostat..??? Dealer says no!!!! Do you think my thermostat is ok or bad???
How long does It take your Hemi to get to temp...??? Doug

Now, granted I live in Fl. but when I had a stock thermostat, even on a cold (by our standards) winter morning in the upper 30's, I'd jump in it at 4:45am for work and it would be up to temp in about 3-4 blocks or roughly a quarter mile of so. Three or four miles to warm up in the heat of the summer sounds like your t-stat may be stuck open.
So, I'd say you have a problem and a lazy dealer who doesn't want to check it out...

cold weather=cold engine block=longer warm up time. Simple deductive reasoning man, nothing is wrong. Trust me if the dealer thought something was wrong, they'd go for it to try and make some money.

It's normal man. I live in the NW, it gets cold here. The colder the motor, the longer it takes. I let mine warm up for 5 minutes before i leave and its still cold for a while.

Had this problem a couple weeks ago, didn't notice it until the cold weather got here. The dealer put a new T-Stat on my truck and it blows HOT air in just a minute or two of driving now. Service Guy did say it was a common problem on the 07's...
