K so heres the deal. I went to big O tires and the srew ball manager didn't know what he was talking about. First off he wanted to charge $125 to do alignment. I found a place for $65. Anyway he said since I cranked the torsion bars my truck is now unalignable. but if I bought the new keys from truxx everything wpuld be fine and they could align it easily. He also said the keys would lift the rear of my truck an inch also.Doesn't make sense. oh he wanted $600 for the keys and labor. He also tried selling me the lowest bilstien shocks for $130 + $20 to put them in. Is it just me or does it seem like i'm paying for his house. This is from a guy that said all these fabtech, rancho, procomp lifts were cheap and that the keys were the more quality way of lifting the front end. He wanted $1200 just to lift the front 3".I just laughed.

damn..it does sound like he wanted to get over on you..the keys in the front can be found for about $60. the bilstein shocks are great, they give a very nice ride. as far as the keys lifting the rear an inch, he's smoking something..you can still align your truck, it is recommended that you run a longer shock in the front, to get you the travel that you need (for a better ride).as far as the keys being a better way of lifting the front end, that is wrong. using the torsion keys puts a strain on your steering components, tie rods, pitman arm, cv shafts ,they all wear out prematurely with the keys, the best way is to use the control arm drop down brackets with drop down pitman arm. i would tell him that he needs to go into a different line of business.

WTF Kx?
Your having a hell of a time there, ain't ya?
I mean, first, you can't get anybody to sell you the right size shocks, now this friggin' bozo, not only obviously not have a clue, but is trying to absolutely rape you!!!

I'll tell you, I'll nolonger take it for granted that living in the southeast I can just take my vehicles to someone, negotiate a fair price and get the work done in a professional manner. In over 14 years living in rural Ga. and almost 2 here in sunny Fl., I've never had a single situation like the two you've had in the past week. Sure I've had someone boo-booonce or twice, but a trip back has always not only remedied the problem, but always gotten a sincere apology as well.
And they make fun of us Rednecks...[:@]

Yea i no Im just so glad we found a little suspension/brake shop that the owner manages it and does all the work so its a one man show. He was about the most down to earth guy ive met. And we also found a little 4wd shop thats the same way so for now on no more huge coorporate businesses that only care about the money there making. I finally got my ride set up so im going to be done for awhile.
