so i feel like an idiot to beat a dead horse but- i contacted a local comapany to do a leveling kti in my truck. cheap.. the say that i should go with rancho 9000 xl's so the stocks do top out. im all for it. but im gettin told diffent answers from u guys and othr forums as far as bilstien 5100's go. i dont doubt that a shock for lets say FOR EXAMPLE a ford 350 shock fits my o4 ram 1500 QC. just very confusing and dont want to do something thats not the best avail for the money

 

i'm not sure what you're asking....are you wanting to know which shock is better, what shocks you need, what size you need,

 

i have heard nothing but good about those new rancho XL's as well as Bilstiens... its up to you whch you want and price... i do think that the bilstiends are known for a slightly better ride...

 

If you were to poll it, I'd bet you'd get about 45% say Rancho's are the best, 45% say Bilsteins and all the others combined would take the last 10%. You can't go wrong with either. I have the RS9000X's as the XL's were no out when I got mine. I like the adjustability in them...
