BFG Mud Terrains KM2's or the Pro Comp Xtreme M/T's?
i can't decide which tire to go with. i am putting a 4" CST lift on my 07 1500 and am going with a 285/70/17 tire. for wheels, i am going with the moto metal 950's.
i originally wanted to go with the toyo open country but have decided against it. a bit too pricey. i have narrowed my choices down to the BFG Mud Terrain KM2's or the Pro Comp Xtreme M/T's.
anyone have any thoughts on the two? it will be a daily driver, so i am looking for the aggressive look, but good on road performance.

just picking from those 2 tires, i'd say BFG. I suggest you look at mickey thompson tirs too though. They are an incredible tire. I'd also like to mention that mud tires will be loud on the pavement and wear pretty fast. If its a daily driver i think AT tires would definately be a better choice.

I like them both but if you are going to get a really good deal on the Pro Comps I would do them but if you have to pay full price BFG all the way. I know not too long ago local tire shops were offering procomps buy three get one free. I checked for my truck and a buddy of mine Chevy and they told me it would still cost like $650. I like BFG but go with what you like and what you can afford!!!

As much as it pains me, I gotta agree with Hanson on this one. I've never had a lot of luck with BFG's and a lot of people I know have worn ProComps out pretty fast on pavement. Last four or five sets of tires I have bought have been from the Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek stable. Wear great, handle great, stays with anything except maybe a bogger off road. The ATZ's are a great A/T with super long wear and fantastic in snow and ice. I know quite a few guys who swear by the MTZ's in a mud tire. I currently have the Dick Cepek Fun Country II's and love them, they are wearing like iron, so far. A great feature of these tires is that they are a hybrid between a A/T and a M/T tire. Has the best features of both. A center tread more like a A/T and very aggressive outer tread and side lugs for the mud. You keep them aired up and the center tread wears great on the highway, you air 'em down a little and those aggressive blocks chew up the mud and trails...

If I ever break away from Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek tires (which I doubt) it'd be for a set of Toyo's.
