hey guys new here
just washed my 06 silver ram and found a bunch of little spots that look like rust all over the truck! tell me this isn't gonna be a problem[:@]

 

i hope not but i've seen alot of 3-4 year old dodges with rust on them. must be cheaper metal. i was surprised when i washed mine at the sound of the water spraying on the bedside. sounded awfully thin to me.

 

Make sure it's not iron in the water, are you on a well?

My well puts calcium spots all over my truck.

 

i have those spots too.................mine is a 2002. they have been there since i got the truck... i have no idea what they are.

 

I have an 01 white sport, had the same problem. It turned out to be yellow flecks of paint off the road lines. When they get chewed up by traffic/plowing then ended up sticking to my truck. They came off with a little elbow grease and time. also found that if I left them to long they would slightly stain the clear coat.

i own a detailing company. what those spots are is rail dust. basically brake dust on your paint meating the elements. easiest way to remove, CLAY BAR TREATMENT. follow the directions. i believe Meguires sells a homeowners kit at auto zone. spray on lube, rub clay on paint back and forth. little elbow grease will pull all of it off. follow with wax. your paint will feel like a marble!!!!! i promise your truck will shine like never before.
