Truck has 30k on it now. I only got the warranty till 36k. I only plan on keeping the truck another 18 months, then getting a cummins. (bearing i get promoted in feb)

How much did you pay/should i expect to pay to add the extended warranty now? i am getting notices, but none have a price

 

The quotes I got for my 300C were in the $1,200 to $1,600 range for 7/100K, but that was right after I bought it. I elected to do without, since it only sees about 10K a year (Feb will start its third year and it probably will have about 28K on it). Presumably, the warranty would cost more now. My suggestion: Put the money in the bank, andtake care of your truck (DIY as much as possible). If you have a major repair issue out-of-warranty, dip into that stash. Just my $0.02

 

That was my main idea, was take my tax return, and stuff it in a new savings account, have that be my warranty. Since i already do a lot of DIY, and really try to take good care of her
