Dodge ram cranking then engine light
the engine was already warmed up after 15 mile drives from my school to my home. i left my dodge off for like 10 min. it was about 25 degrees outside. it started to crank more than 1 min. i cranked with gas pedel then it reved to start. then i saw the engine light came up and i was like getting worried if it breaks down at 57k miles, i am second owner of dodge ram. i am planning to take to dodge dealership to check it out what problem is.
everything is fine with full tank of 89 gas.

At 57k your at about the time for the EGR to go on you. Would make for hard starting and stalls. Would also give you a CEL. Could also be a really dirty throttle body. These are the two most common ailments and don't worry they are both relatively easy and inexpensive repairs.
If you go somewhere to pull the codes you could fix either one or both in the driveway with basic hand tools. EGR valves are cheap and the throttle body only takes about $2 of brake or carb cleaner...

It always pays to pull that code!!!
Made my guess look like doo-doo. But I only used probability, as they are the most common ailments at that mileage.
You probably had a multiple misfire CEL. Could be just the sensor. Major cam issues are rare for a Hemi, as the stock cams are pretty much bulletproof. The good thing for you is that it's a power train failure without question, good deal on the free fix.
Just be aware that if they have to actually deal with the cam, an awfull lot of stuff has to come out and go back in for them to get to the cam shaft. Watch for anything that has been "Goober'd" when you get it back...

MY CAM SENSOR WENT ON ME AT 22000 MILES. $20 PART AND 5 MIN. REPAIR. ITS LOCATED RIGHT BEHIND THE ALTERNATOR DEEP DOWN. CAUSES STALLING AND SPUTTERING. ACTUALLY REPLACED MINE TWICE.
