Ram vs Titan

Ram vs Titan
I just bought an 07 ram and a friend of mine is buying a titan and bragging it up about how even though it has less power its faster and the interior is nicer and its more reliable. I keep telling him that with my lifetime warranty bumper to bumper we'll see who has the better truck in ten years. Is the titan really so great compared to our rams?
Thanks guys.

The Titans are nice trucks, My inlaws have one, and have never had a problem with it.I will say it has alot of power. It's actually rated more HP than the 5.7L HEMI, and it feels like it (Compared to my beast MegaCab). However I think the interior on the RAM's is nicer, I have a MegaCab so its a 2500 frame/drivetrain, So I can't compare in that aspect, cuz my MegaCab is way more heavy duty than their titan (Even though the titan is rated to tow more).
.. Just for the record, unless you got some special warranty, the Lifetime warrenty is only for your powertrain, not bumper to bumper. Just make sure you do EVERY Maintaince interval outlines in the owners manual and keep every reciept, because dodge if FAMOUS for getting out of warrenty work.

RE: Ram vs Titan
I actually looked at the Titans when they first came out. They are more spacious in the back seat than the QC Rams. Their powertrain is reliable (anyone that has own a Nissan will swear by them). Their issues ended up being their electronics. For some reason anything that was computer related on that truck (much like the Rams, they rely heavily on their computers for efficient adjustments) did not seem to work right. Nissan's Armada is built on the same Chasis and is almost the same vehicle as the Titan (just dressed up) and they could not compete. I drove a Titan (really drove it hard actually) and it has power and plenty of torque, but to me it felt a bit light.. just not stout enough. Even our 1500's are stout vehicles.
just my 2 cents...

RE: Ram vs Titan
I've always liked Nissan's. When I had a business, I hada company car that was a Sentra hatchback wagon five speed. We bought it with 130k miles on it and when I sold the business it had 280k miles on it. The only thing I ever had to do to it above regular maint. was replace the clutch once and the water pump once. I've also had 2 Nissan trucks, both the baby ones, a 1985 King Cab 4x4 V6 and a 1997 King Cab 4x4 I4. Both very reliable.
That said, I have a very good friend who has a 2005 Titan. He has had electrical problems with it and has already had the rear differential replaced. It does fly and he'll blow the doors off of me, but he has a reg. cab 4x2 and I have a Hemi QC 4x4, so it's apples to oranges. It feels real light and tinny though to me, kinda like it's made out of recycled Budweiser cans or something. The interior is also very plain and too plastic looking for me.
I'd get one before a Ford, but I still like my Hemi best and would probably opt for offerings from GM and Toyota before I'd get the Titan...
