Default Larger tires on a '07 2500 4x4

I'd like to getlarger tires on my '07 2500 4x4, but I haul with it so I also need to keep with an 'E' rated tire. The factory Michelins 245x70x17 give the truck too small a look - how big have folks gone with larger tires without a lift (or maybe only a leveling kit)? Suggestions?
thx

invest in fender flars, mud flaps, ect, the stock 265 70 17 BFG on my 06 2500 are excellant sand blasters when rocks are caught in the treads, 285/305 will fit.

I went with 285 X 75 X 17's on my rig with a leveling kit and longer shocks. The tires are Toyo AT's and are "E" rated.. I would definately stay with E rated due if nothing else to the weight of the truck. The bigger tires fill up the wheel wells much better (I have to agree...the stockers look way too small)..

Will the 315/70/17 fit on a the factory rims? Any worries of the tire contacting when the suspension compresses? Any suggestions on leveling kits and wheel flares? thanks!

They will fit on stock rims... there is a slight chance of rub in the front... not too much... bushwacker has great fender flares... and then the leveling kits are widely available... topguncustomz.com has great prices.... thats what i am runnin...

I have a 2" leveling kit and run 35" tires in the summer on 17X9 rims and 285's in the winter on stock rims. 2500's look great when they are leveled out.

I agree. But don't let the guys like me with 1500's think they will have that much room. A 2500 leveled gives about an inch more room to flex off road than a 1500. I think you guys could get away with just a level kit where we need to clear an extra inch or so for any serious off-roading.
