Lol wow thats crazy. I try to save up change but it seems like every time Iget to twenty bucks I cash it in. That is self control and penny pinching at its finest.

I thought it was pretty funny. If you read the article it's not the first time he has done it. It says he bought a Dodge truck and a neon back in 94 for 36,000 in coins. Hell I don't know where I'd store that many coins.. Good for him.. no loan payments, and a little amusement for the rest of us..

 

That's great! There was a man here in my home town back in the 80's that down that, he said he saved his change for over 30 years.

 

I thought I was doing good if I saved enough to get a tank of gas.

 

My father-in-law didn't buy very many vehicles over the years, but always paid in cash then started saving for the next one. Made monthly payments to his savings account not to the bank. He never liked paying interest as much as receiving it. Never been able to do that.
