yea well im a 19 year old college student soo i dont have the money to be running 91 octane all the time soo i was wondering if anyone was running the performance setting on 87????
I never understood people that say this. where i live,91 is about .15 to 20cents more then 87. If you have a 25 gallon tank, thats a $5.00difference if you fill it up with 91. Are you really missing that $5.00 in your pocket??You'll prolly get a better MPG with 89 or 91 and you'll make up that 5 bucks faster than u know it.

$3.14 for 87...times that by 25 gallons...$78.50
$3.24 for 89...times that by 25 gallons...$81.00
$3.34 for 91...times that by 25 gallons...$83.50

I've calculated it myself, when I had my little 4 banger Hyundai, it was more economical to run 87 octane, I got a fraction of a mpg better with 89, but the 10 cents higher cost didn't offset the minimal gain.
My truck, however, running 93 octane with the performance tune gave me the best economy for my $ than any other combo. It turned out to beabout 3 cents a gallon cheaper than paying twenty cents less a gallon and using the economy tune. Plus a whole lot better performance!
Same with my '03 Grand Cherokee Overland, it has the High Output 4.7 and gets enough better mpg's running 93 octane that it offsets the 20 cents cost difference as well and that's without having a tuner for it.

sooo i realized, or my dad did really, that there was a truck shop that was an autherized dealer of superchips and they let us use a cord. i love it it was deff worth the trouble i have gone through and the 400 bucks. trani shifts amazing and the power is great.

I think that the firming up of the tranny shift points is the single best feature of the Superchips...
