You would have to get different brackets if you wanted to put the sport bumper on the SLT chrome one. As long as you get the 06-08 sport one you dont need to change headlights or grill ao anything else. Or you could get a bumper cover to go right over the chrome bumper. Thats what I did on my 07. It started out looking just like your truck 7 months ago.

I had a chrome bumper on the front and a black bumper on the back on my 02 when I traded it in because I could not get the black bumper off the back. Bolts broke. Here is what it looked like.

roll pans are no good. look good but what happens when you tap into something backing up? buy a new tailgate and bumper.

I would probably keep chrome unless I changed them all.

Goes the other way as well. I am confused why people pay the xtra $$ to geta sport then buy a chrome bug deflector?? I guess they claim it "matches the wheels". That is like saying my stock mirrors rock because they match my tires

No, I think your fine. You can do the black bumper with this particular truck. It's primarily black, and I think chrome or black will compliment it just fine. Just a matter of your preferance. It's a nice looking truck by the way.

RaiderJay, where did you find that bumper cover? That looks like it'd work extremely well for whatI have in mind for my truck.

What I dont get is that the sport package is more but the part's are cheaper than the chrome one's

The part's manager is the one that told me that the head light's and grille is different because he wanted to switch his over but you have to change all that when you do it.

Well the Parts guys doesnt know too much then unless he wanted to put the 06 - 08 front end on his. Then he would have to change all that. That can be done too. I have seen lots of trucks swap to the sport bumper.

it doesnt look that bad....but still....if someone were to really pay attention, it may look a bit awkward.
