I bought my 06 4x4 qc to not care if i get dents etc etc, but i do occasionally trailer a pontoon boat (classic seeing a 4x2 spinning and slipping on the wet boat launch) and will be trailering about 5,000 pounds (plus a 1000 in the bed) over a thousand miles coming up. All the chips i've found are obviously for the diesel and the few that i have found for the 1500 are for the hemis. The electronic connections i have found for the 4.7 are only monitors not modifiers.
