1Km=.62miles 4liters=1.06 gallons so1064km=659.68 miles 171Ltrs=42.75 so thats about 15.43 MPG. Huh hope i did that right lol.
Almost, I got 14.62mpg
I think you figured out the other numbers. 1115km w/ 190ltrs of fuel...
Nope, 1115km/190L = 13.8 mpg

heres my calculation. There are .264Gal/1L. There are .621miles/km. So 1115km*.621miles/km will give you the amount of miles and your units will be correct. Then take 190L*.264Gal/1L that will give you the amount of gallons. Now take the amount of miles and divide it by the gallons and that will give you mpg. The problem with your calculation is that you are dividing the Liters by 4 and thats it, when what you should do is divide by 4 and then multiply by 1.06 to complete the unit conversion. You have to make sure your units cancel and give you the final units you want when doing unit conversions. I had a class where we spent half a semester on unit conversions going from simple one step conversions like this to doing entire mathmatical equations and bringing them back to simple units.

To be a little on topic, I would say to be getting 14-15mpg like the original poster with the 4x4 and mega cab isnt bad, I have an 05 2wd hemi and on my last road trip I set the cruise between 75-85 and got around 15mpg

Also, using the calculator on the top of this page nets the same results http://www.easysurf.cc/cnver4.htm#klmg2just take your km divide it by L and plug that number into one side click to convert and you get mpg on the other side with no need to convert anything

Good info..... I just drove my new 2008 1500 4x4 Mega Cab Hemi home last night and my first look at the Dodge Forum gave me buyer's remorse when I was reading9-11 mpg ..... The dealership told me 14 city/18 hwy....... After reading the 9-11 mpg I was thinking of ways to turn it back to the dealer..... I have learned on this forumthat the 1500 with a Mega is sitting on a 2500 frame due to the extra weight of the Mega....... I wish the Dealership sales people knew that when I asked about the differences, I would have probably stayed with my first choice, the 1500 Quad Cab, which ison the 1500 frame and the whole package is considerable lighter...... Dang, the things you learn after the fact........ I'd like more 1500 4x4 Mega HEMI gas mileage feedback if anyone can help....

Thanks!

16-18 Average with about 40/60 City/Hwy

You can do 20+ if you're really carefull. Right now I'm doing a lot less (15-16 Hwy, 10-11 City) with four wheel drive and all this damn snow!

Thanks. I'd feel a lot better getting 15 to 16 mpg in town as you have noted. Haven't seen over 10.1 mpg so far and that is driving her fairly easy.
