How do I know if my used Ram was raised?
I noticed some people getting 2.5" front raises on this site? Why is that? Do stock 1500's come with a lower suspension in the front? My 1500 seems like its just as high as a 2500 or 1500 hemi.... and its even on both sides..
sorry im kinda a newb its my frist truck

Geez TD, do you use that line with women too?[sm=smiley17.gif]
The reason for the front raise is the front sits lower so that when you have a load in your truck it will sit level. If yours is level it's either got a leveling kit or they've cranked up the torsion bars.

not tryin to be rough fellas! LOL ok so is it 2wd or 4wd.... the front end normally sits lower and the stances between a hemi and a 4.7 dont really vary... and unless you have some kind of lift you arent goin to be as high as a 2500....
Look closely at the front springs -- there may be a black/red/blue/whatever color donut-looking thing at the top of the spring. That would be the lift. Someone may have gotten gimpy and put longer springs on it. That apparently is a bit of over-kill.

Don't bother looking for a "donut thing" dude. You have an '05 4x4, it's not coil over, it's torsion bar suspension. It's possible your torsion bars have been cranked a couple of turns to level it. Shoot me a pic of your truck, taken from the side, on as levelground as possible. I'll tell you what's been done, if anything, to it...
