Default How do I connect an amp to my stock stereo?

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram, and I want to install my speakers to my truck. Also, how do I remove the stereo from the console?

Theres a very good write up on dash removal within the first few pages of this forum.

As for hooking an amp up:
For the remote turn on, youneed to find a B+ input (switched power). If your lighter goes off with the truck, that's a good place for it.

For signal, if your amp can take a high level input, you can run it off of any speaker (if it's for a sub). If it doesn't take a high level input, you'll have to get an adapter to run from your speaker wires to RCAs.

Power and ground you'd have to run just like any other setup.
