HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!
hey everyone i just purchased my ram 1500 4.7 quad cab with 48k miles last week and i decided to change the trans fluid and filter's. i used royal purple atf and now its shifts hard into 3rd gear ??? any ideas it was fine before. i have no lights on. oh i also replaced the rear diff fluid with royal purple 75-140 gear oil(its not limited slip-i called the dealer and gave em the vin) the sticker in the glove says its a 5speed?????? please help thanks

 

What year is it? How much fluid did you use? BTW, welcome to the group and Happy New Year yourself.

 

its a 2004 and i filled with 9 quarts. first i put 7 and checked when it was warm then topped it off with 2 more, basically what came out.

 

Use ATF+4 fluid.
