Default Tansmission

hey i haven't posted here in a while....just wanted to say my 06 ram with 13000 miles on it is sitting in the driveway....needs a rebuilt or new trans (dealer says)......now ive heardnumerous times thatdodge is known for shotty trans, i didnt believe it til it happened to me.....this true? any of you guys had problems with your trans'.....very pissed and upset with dodge

I know it's always been said thatChrysler engines are bulletproof but the trannies are crap. But I can only speak from personal experience.
Four Jeep Grand Cherokees with A/T, three bought new. Over 60k miles put on two of them and 70k oncurrent onewith zero problems.
A '98 Dodge SCSB 4x4 w/5.9 Magnum. Traded in '02 with 68k on it and no tranny issues. Current '04 QCSB 4x4 Hemi has 38k miles and (knock on wood) no issues yet...

you are still under warenty are'nt you?

and I would maybe get a second opinion, I don't know how a tranny would be destroyed that soon. There would have had to be some sort of defect from the factory

My uncle had a Dodge Durango bought new a couple years ago, the transmission crapped out on him at around the 100k mark, but I actually considered that pretty good for the way he drives...
