A-Pillar Leak! UPDATE BELOW.
I just ran to the store after a heavy snow and rain storm and heard dripping. I pulled over on the road and turned on the interior lights only to see water dripping out of the cosmetic caps over the screws in the A-Pillar on the passenger side. I do not have any clearance lights or other perforations not made by the factory.
I removed the weather stripping in the door on the passenger side and found nothing. It appears that the water is getting in above this level. There are a couple of screws for the frame of the roof/door/ and windshield.
Has anyone else had this problem with the '06 QC or other 3rd Gen?
I will be calling the dealer in the morning.

RE: A-Pillar Leak!
My buddy has the exact same issue with his low mile '05 1500 QC. It's scheduled to go back to the dealer this week for a 2nd attempt to seal it. When it rained last week, he got in to go to work and found the passenger's side carpet soaked. This was only a couple weeks after the dealer "fixed" it the 1st time.

RE: A-Pillar Leak!
Hey should have known,
hemiyellow and the forum is right.
I just got off the phone with the dealership that I am now usiung since the one I bought it from no longer services Dodges. They stated they were aware of it and wanted it ASAP so it could stay inside their heated shop as long as possible. Even asking if they could keep it overnight due to the low temperatures we are expecting tonight, 26 F currently and around 10 F tonight.
They stated that you can not do a "small fix". The seam needs to be opened up, cleaned and resealed. This dealership is getting a lot of complaints about the previous one closing and how we were treated with them knowing they were closing and not telling us.
I'll keep everyone posted.

RE: A-Pillar Leak!
If under warranty, take it to the dealer. Just expect to be out of a truck for about 3 days cause you know those "specialists" for body work only work(if they do at all)M-F from 8-5pm, weekends is only oil change.
Or you can remove the whole roof cover, buy some silicone and have a buddy spray your car with at hose until you find the spot.

RE: A-Pillar Leak! Update.
It appears that I found the right technician. I drove my truck in ASAP. After letting the truck warm they immediately went to the area behind the upper weather stripping on the door at the roof directly above the a-pillar handle. Behind there are the screws that hemiyellow stated were there. A very brief water test produced water in the upper screw pocket of the handle.
The handle screws were removed, the weather stripping was removed, and the truck was allowed to warm and dry out.
The upper screws were checked and not all were tight - thus the leak. The screws were backed off, after being dried and cleaned the new sealant, (RTV I believe), was applied behind and around the screws. The weather stripping was replaced and the truck was left indoors for the sealant to tack over. As it was the passenger side I will not operate it until the weekend when the weather warms.
WORD OF CAUTION: According to others and the tech this is a notorius weak spot where our trucks flex. The more twisting you do in your tuck, it does not have to be 4X4, this is where the weak link is. Most of my twisting is just uneven terrain, occasional logs/drift wood, dirt access roads and river beds. And of course snow. This was over the course of the day: while the mechanic worked on other things while my truck warmed, dried out and tacked over. Hell it didn't even get looked at until it was indoors for almost an hour - too cold. Prepare to leaveyour truckfor a good water test and fix or a long wait.

Thanks. Good to know.

A point of interst: I forgot to mention that he stated the QC's were worse due tothe length of the cab. The bed of course does not matter as it isn't attached to the cab.
