Whats better? Stainless steel or chrome ABS door handle/tailgate covers? do any fall off in cold weather?

 

i got my dad a set for the doors and tailgate lastwinter (the plastic ones from putco)....they look pretty good and they havent fallen off even with new england weather....

if you do end up getting the plastic ones you just might wanna check em every once and a while....

 

I have chrome on mine, no problems as of yet. To me, it really makes the truck look nicer. Having black just makes her look stock...but thats just my opinion. Let us know what you do!!! Good luck!!

 

I have both on my truck. Putco has a problem sending the right parts if it's a quad cab.They think all door handles are the same. Check the 3 -m tappe real good mirror covers thend to loosen up in the winter .You may have to use some heavy duty glue to make sure they stay on. My chrome tail gate handle came off last year so I retaped the 3m and my plastic mirror covers came off after a heavy snow.
