Default Bumper plastic

Has anyone had to replace their bumper plastic(the thin strip of black plastic on the bottom of the bumper)?

A dog took mine off and now I need to replace it... what do they cost? How are they held on?

Imight sell you mine. I'm thinking about taking mine off to see how it looks. I hate the fact that I can't even get under the front of my truck w/o jacking it up. I mean damn, its a full size truck, I'd like a little more clearance then that.

You know I have to post this every time people start saying to remove it.

The lower bumper trim is not a cosmetic item. It creates more airflow through the radiator and is engineered to be part of the cooling system.

Without it, more air goes under the truck and that means less goes through the radiator. It's your truck; you can do what you want. I'll keep my lower coolant temps.

John is right... the plastic piece is there as a part to keep the truck slightly more aerodynamic and cooler... taking it off prolly wont kill the truck but however its not really worth it...

actually I took off mine and I get lower temps but You can see all of the suspension up front which I kind of like. Trufully I think it was to hide all of it.

Well I guess I get the best of both worlds right now... On the passenger half of the front, the plastic is still on... on the driver side, it is off.
