NO, maybe if the regular cab is 4x4 and the quad is 2wd

yea thats the only way... but to similar equipped trucks assuming the quad cab would be a shortbed.. then yea its still heavier...

Curb weight numbers can be found at Edmunds.com, but probably the QC is heavier (doors, seats, glass, etc., instead of air).

According to our good friends at Chrysler, a base 4x2 1500 long bed with 4.7l V8 and Automatic Transmission weighs 4779 lbs. while a Quad Cab with the same equipment weighs in at 5260 lbs. Interestingly, a QCSB 4x4 w/Hemi only adds about 200 lbs. to a base 4x2 QC coming in at 5468 lbs. I guess CV axles don't weigh that much compared to a solid front axle...
