weight in the bed
dont laff yet...round cementseptic tankcover, new, of course, spray-on bed liner lined to match .Will not move, low profile for bed use, almost invisible when spray-lined, and the best thing REAL cheap! An old northeast snow with 2wd empty pickup trick.
ha I was thinking something along the lines of a fat sac filled with water. You know the one we use to put more wieght in the boat to get the wake bigger. I have one for 600lbs and 2 250lb which shall I use?
well When I go down the freeway the truck starts to jar back and forth like crazybut when I had 2 bikes in the back it rode like a cadillac. As far as sliding, I don't think it snows or is muddy in socal. ha

oo i got ya... hmm... its hard to say bc too much weight is gonna hurt mileage and braking power... but if you do use weight just make sure you place it right.. in the far back not near the cab!
It snows in iowa!
I don't know I have always had a 4x4 and I never use weight in the back.
My dad did have a little s-10 and he had to, but that was just so the truck would move from a dead stop.
I personaly have never had the rear end of my truck get squirrly on me on the highway unless I wanted it too.
But hey if you want it and you want something that looks good, I would go with spraypainting wome bricks to match the truck color / bed cover.
and tdmopar, I think he would want the weight right over the drive wheels wouldn't he? but I would make sure it's straped and won't go flying to the other side of the bed if you do get in a bad situation.

if its all the way in the back its acting like a lever kinda... think about it the further back the weight its like pushing the back of the truck down more showing more weight (not more weight but just placed better)
