Default Leveling kit causing death wobble?

I'm about to install a ProComp leveling kit in an '07 2500 4x4, but when I went to 4 wheelparts looking at tires, they told me I shouldn't use a leveling kit because it can cause a death wobble (severe shaking at highway speeds). This is the first I've heard of this - does anyone have any experience with this or is this bogus?

Bogus, on a 2500 and 06+ 1500s the level kits are just coil spacers, usually 1.5-2" and utilize the stock strut and shock system, therefore, I doubt there would be any compromise in ride quality.
Besides, the 2500 can have some pretty serious death wobble issues all by itself, it needs no help from a couple of spacers...

thanks. I'm guessing no worries about changing rear end gearing with only 35s?

Any recommendations on tuners to adjust odom, etc?

Also, I was considering either Dick Cepek Fun Country IIs or ProComp Xtreme AT - any thoughts?

You'd want to go to 4.56s with 35s, but you'll see. You will think someone traded your Hemi for a 4.7 in the middle of the night on you. You really want that gearing especially with the Hemi, it's got great power and pretty good torque, but they are very high in the powerband on that engine. You'll never get near that powerband with those tall tires and stock gears.

For a truck that's fairly lightly modded (exhaust, CAI) the Superchips would be your best bet. If you plan on really modd'n it out (Headers, Cam, etc) then your best bet is to wait for the SCT as custom tunes will be available with it.

On the tires, I have the Cepek's. I've had a bunch of different A/T & M/T tires on 4x4s the last 24 years I've been driving, and I think for a combination on pavement and off-road with mild to moderate mud, they are the best tire I've ever owned. TD would disagree (he's a Pro-comp man) but a bunch of guys in my hunting club in Ga. have/had them, and they ALL bitched about pre-mature wear on the highway and no one I know who has/had them up there would get them again.

Depends on which store and the philosophy of the general manager. I've found some locations give honest and factual advice while others try to up sell you to the more expensive, higher profit products...
