Default Tire Wear question?

Hey guys I need help. Not with my truck but with my wifes Tahoe. It has 29k on it and the 2 front tires are wearing baddd on the inside only. According to discount tire website it is due to improper camber setting. Do you know if this is something that the dealer should have caught before now, since they are the ones that service the thing and have rotated the tires every 5k or so?

Sounds to me like it's time for an alignment. A dealer should have noticed and mentioned it to you, especially since it means more money in their pocket...

I agree on an alignment, but that last time your wife had it in for service, everything could have been ok, then she could have done something as little as hit a curb and knocked it out and 5000 miles later your tires look like crap.

Thanks guys. If it was out of alignment I would have thought there would be some sort of problem that I would notice when driving it, like pulling or something. But the damn thing drives /rides perfect.

If you want to get it aligned put the rear tires on the front first (or buy new ones). You need to have a tire that is not worn improperly to get a good alignment.

Just a thought here, but have you got under it and checked the tie rods? I had an old Ford with the same problem, and when I went to the tire shop he told me the tie rods were out completely.

Didn't think about the rods since it is only a 1 1/2 yrs old. I will rotate the tires then have it aligned.
