Default Transgo on a 03 HEMI

I just had a high stall converter, 4.56 with LSD, and transgo shift kit installed. I also have the Superchips tune 3714 I think. This one doesn't let you adjust too much. My question is this, do I install the resister on the transmission that came with the shift kit or do I leave it off. I saw a post that said to install it but the paperwork says to not install it if your programer has transmission modifications. I do think it will shift better as I didn't notice much of a difference. I don't want to buy a new trany any time soon though! I'm still breaking in the gears so I haven't nailed it yet. I'm not sure what to expect from this kit. Ayone install one of these kits on a 03 Hemi with the same mods? What to do, what to do?

Someone I'm sure has a shift kit on their truck. I can't be the only one that has a Hemi Ram with the transgo reprogram kit. The thing is only $75 and is very easy to install.

Yes you can add it since Superchips does not increase the line pressure which is why that sentence is in there.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Didn't want to burn up the trany.

I just added the resister. Seems to shift good except for third under light exceleration. Third is violent and doesn't sound good! Sounds like something is going to break soon! If I get on it, it shifts nice and ferm all gears. What if I were to install a latched rocker switch so I could turn off the real ferm shift for everly day light traffic driving and flip the switch when I'm at the track. Does anyone see any issues with this? What about changing the value of the resister to ease off some of the pressure? Not sure which way to go or how far of a jump in value I could try.

What you are feeling is perfectly normal and will stop after about 200 miles. The 2-3 shift hits really hard and I had the same worries too. I just went out and did a whole buch of driving, making it shift from 2-3 and after a while it didn't hit so hard.

Thanks, I was thinking that too. It's nice to have access to someone who has done the mods I have. Thanks again for your help.
You wouldn't happen to know much about Hawk brake pads. It seems like I got the wrong ones. I have another thread on the topic. Thought I would ask anyway.

Never know unless you ask. I don't know why most people do brakes after they make their car faster. I think that it would be the other way around. For me, I would rather be able to stop faster first than to be able to go faster. I guess it's just me. Are you using some kind up upgraded brakes?

No and I probably won't for a while. Our brakes are some of the largest on the market and there is not much you can do to make them better other than upgrading to a 4 or 6 piston caliper for millions of bucks. Eventually I will get slotted rotors but they don't make a huge difference in a drag racing stituation. Now if I was road racing I would do it but for right now they are good.
