Superchips Is Here, no Manual - Help?
My Flashpaq came in today, however there was no manual (It was used). What do you guys do on the first tune?
I know I have to load the Stock tune into it, however does the truck have to be started? or just in the ON position?
Also how long will it take to program the tune into it? Don't want to start it if I need to be somewhere real quick and it takes 15 minutes to tune.
Any help would be great, thanks!

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't the new programmers not able to be "returned to stock" ?
I am sure that one of the 2 (Hypertech & Superchips) new programmers cannot be brought back to stock and then used on another car.
I have both of them and remember when I was looking to buy one (and read maybe as much on them ashumanly possible) that although U could return the "programmed car,"
back to it's stock form U were not able to applythat programmer now on another vehicle but the one it was "originally" set up on.
I will check again and see which on it is.

P.S. As for the "being locked" don't be fooled with what kind of problems U can confront.
Some ppl have not known or MIS-understood what Hypertech'smeans when itsays "This programmer has been used" when they buy them used. As the think that the programmer has told them that this was used once upon a time and is NOT a BRAND NEW device and keep on tuning the car/truck...... which the tuner will do at times. (More o, than less) Only problem is U may get your pcm LOADED with the previous truck's/car's info and throw Ur auto out of whack when returned to stock etc...

Superchips is able to be used on an infinite number of vehicles that the tuner is made for; the only catch is that the previous vehicle must be returned to its stock tune before the next vehicle can get the modified tune. Basically, the tuner only allows one truck to be tuned at a time.

The Edge tuner guides you through everything really nicely. The display tells you when to turn the key on, when off, what it's doing, etc. The menus are also really easy to use.
The superchips has a nice guide to it, once you start programming the truck (on, off, etc. like you said)... It is just getting there, especiallyif you do not have the directions.
I bought one last year for my blazer used off of ebay, and the guy sold it to me empty. no code!! the problem is i waited two months to even get to the programmer so by then it was too late to gripe. talk about flushing a couple hundred.
