I want to attack the dakota beating a hemi sentence, last I checked the 4.7 stock had 230hp........ I think the hemi has plenty more to make up for the extra 1000-1500lbs

I didn't read through the 5 pages of posts, so this has probably been said. I have done my mods to enhance the trucks performance and gas mileage. Some of the mods I have done will prolong the longevity of my truck, also (i.e. cooler running temps, less friction, etc...). Any car maker is gonna produce a product that is adequate for day to day. They also, use good but not the best parts sometime. This makes them, possible, dollars down the line when you bring it in for maintenance. A lot of it has to do with pride of ownership, too. I want a BADASS Dodge Hemi, not just a STOCK badass Hemi. The speed is just a fringe benefit. I don't race, but I want some getty-up-and-go, when I need it.
