Keep an eye on that stock LSD, you are approaching the mileage where people start to report the implosion followed by the inevitable complete loss of the rear end. I suggest frequent lube changes in that rear and with carefull inspection of not only the fluid but also a close look at the magnet for C-Clip fragments. I don't think ANYONE with the stock LSD has escaped this issue, if so, I'm sure the percentage is very small.

First of all, I'd do a search on here for "C-Clip" issues. It's probably the most talked about subject on any Dodge Truck Forum. I'm on another forum with a section on it, where the people who have had the issue actually join the "C-Clip Club"where the thread is literally dozen of pages long.

You can check/change the rear differential fluid yourself and inspect for pieces of metal that is the tell tale sign of a failed C-Clip. It's not really any harder than changing your oil.
You could also do what many, including myself, have done and have the LSD unit taken out and replaced with a much better aftermarket one such as an Auburn or Detroit unit before the stock one explodes and takes out your gears and virtually your whole rear end, making your $10,000 great deal truck a $13000 O.K. deal truck...

Here's just one of the many threads on it on this forum:

Yea, I think so, to me, the rear differential would be considered a part of the powertrain. Maybe some guys who have had the issue will chime in here.
I really didn't mean to **** in you corn flakes here, but with that low mileage, it's very possible that the original unit is still in there, and I just wanted you to be aware and look for the signs of a failed c-clip before you ended up having to replace the whole rear end...
