Thanks to the posts on this forum I was able to request a copy of the build sheet for the truck we recently purchased and received the information earlier this week.

Hopefully someone can answer my question.We found a discrepancy between what was listed on the build sheet, compared to the window sticker and truck as received. It's not much, but with fuel prices the way the are, every $ counts! The build sheet states that the truck was shipped with front and rear floor mats. The window sticker does not list it as an option and the truck was not delivered with them. Shouldn't whats stated on the build sheet be what's received?

 

I would think so - call your salesman and get your mats - if your dealership is worth anything they will get you a set.

 

+1 Anything on the build sheet was provided when your vehicle was delivered to the dealer. The dealer probably removes them and then sells them separately. I would go see the sales person or manager and bring a copy of the build sheet with me.

you can get a build sheet from the dodge website, and then click on "For Owners" and then "Customer Assistance" ....or you can ask someone that has access to dealerconnect and have them get you one....like me lol

 

Floor mats no longer come standard on any Dodge trucks. If they are not listed in the optional equipment section on the window sticker the truck should not have them. I don't know what the build sheet is referring to but I have seen the factory call the actual carpeting floor mats before. I think all vehicles should come with floor mats but Chrysler is getting stingy. If you want to e-mail me the VIN I can look it up for you.

MoparMan61L, I thought that might be the case as well, but it spells it out as Front & Rear Floor Mats and carpet is listed above the carpet item. I've sent you an email with the VIN.

I checked on Dealerconnect and StarParts and your truck shows to have come with option code CLE which is a set of 4 floor mats for a quad cab in trim code D5 part #1GR041DHAA but it also shows this message For 2007 model year, floor mats are a stand alone option. The mats are not included with any packages. If you receive a vehicle that is not equipped with floor mats, do not submit a "Shortage in Error" warranty claim unless the vehicle was ordered with floor mats as an option.) This is conflicting because the code CLE is listed under standard equip for your truck and the message states they are optional. Does your window sticker list the mats in the standard equipment section?

That's why I stated in my original postthat I was confused. Not listed on the window sticker, but listed on the build sheet. What they've stated is definitelycontradicting... [sm=confused06.gif]Suggestions?

Another question... who prints the window stickers? Do they come from the factory with the truck or does the dealership print them? The dealership we purchased the truck from purchased two other dealerships and this truck was likely from that purchase. Is it something that might have gotten mixed up when adding the additional inventory possibly? (Maybe just wishful thinking here...) Just not sure how to proceed, if at all...

 

The window sticker comes with the vehicle. If I were you I would show the dealership the information you have and see if they will give you the floor mat set. If you came into my dealership with that information I would give them to you, but as you know every dealershipis different. According to the information I have available you should have gotten a set of floor mats.
