and it is only 4 3/4" bolts(save you some timefinding the right socket...)if you have the solid bench, 8 if it is split.

Yea, you have to remove the foam/board that is back there that is the sound dampening, but I laid the FatMat to resolve that. Those vents do provide some air movement.... I actually put an electronic thermometer back there to make sure the ambient air temp was not getting too hot.

NOTE: The sub box I got came with some 5/8" spacers that raise the back seat. This gave me a little more clearance as well.

Thanks. I dont think I have any padding since mine is the ST. I have vinyl everywhere. When I lift the floor covering vinyl I see the metal, nothing in between. Which vents are you talking about?
Thanks again and also for the socket number.

Here are the vents I am talking about on the back wall.... Not sure what they do...I think regulate cabin pressure.... If anyone knows for sure, let me know...I am curious

And I don't think I stressed this enough.... If you are going to take the time to remove the seats, lay some sound proofing. It really changes the dynamic of the sound system. Not only is there a LOT LESS road noise, most of my sound stays IN the truck. People are amazed how quiet it is when, after they hear the inside of the truck, we step outside and close the doors. I paid for my sound, I want to keep it for ME! lol

Anyway, Like I said, I got the 100sqft of FatMat for $100 and laid it everywhere. My only complaint is that the blue logos rub off, so your hands will be completely blue by the time you are done. 100sqft is plenty to cover the walls & floor and to lay a couple of layers on the doors.

The doors on our truck are ESPECIALLY bad, they sounded like tin cans or a submarinebefore. Now all I hear is a nice thud when I knock on the outside...closing the doors is quiter too. It sounded like I was slamming my door, even when I closed it gently. Now I can slam it, and it is still not as loud as it was when I was closing it gently.
