Default Hey guys got a few questions

Hello everyone new to the forum and dodge and v8s lol. I just bought a 05 Rumble Bee and was looking at mods for it. On all my previous vehicle I have done exhaust and since I have a nice new truck now I dont want to get roaring annoying loud exhaust. So does anyone know of a catback that helps performance a little without pissing off the neighbors? And I was comparing intakes and was thinking about going with the AEM Brute Force or the S&B, any input on those 2? And how about 'racing' chips? I know Bully Dog does great stuff for diesel motors and saw that they claim 30+ HP to the wheels and 50+ torque. Does this seem reliable? I was planning on either Bully Dog or Hypertech so any input is greatly apprectiated. Sorry if theres anotherpost with all these questions :-/ I am horrible at searching and like more personal answers rather then reading answers for somebody else. Thanks everyone

[sm=welcomesign.gif]to da forum. Congratulations on the new ride. I, too, chose a TrueFlow intake kit. From what I've read, Magnaflow provides a bit of a power boost, Flowmaster does not. My Magnaflows have a nice, mellow sound without being obnoxious. I personally don't believe any of the chips are worth the money. They're vehicle specific (I'd have to buy two -- one for the Ram and one for the 300C. I'm not spending $800-$900 for dubious returns). I don't know much about the Bee. If it doesn't have a rear sway bar, that's a fairly easy install that'll put a grin on your face without too much of a dent in your wallet. __________________________________________________ ______________________________________________ You should probably hone your search skills. You can get the Flowmaster 50 HD series for your exhaust. It is quiet at low RPM's and only gets loud at the higher rpms. You get a little better performance from this, but is not the best. The other exhausts are better but at the same time, going to be louder. As far as the programmers go, I wouldn't recommend the hypertech. If you do a search on here, you will find more negative than positive reviews on this product. The Bully Dog is a great product and comparable to the SuperChips programmer. You have all the same capabilities between the 2. The Superchips program is slightly better, but IMO is not worth the extra money. You can save almost $100 when buying the Bully Dog. One of the big things that make the Bully Dog better is the support. Calling and doing online updates are much easier to deal with than the Superchips, plus the Bully Dog has a program that you can install on your computer that will run in the background, and everytime you sign on to the internet, it will let you know if there is an update for your programmer. Even though I like the Bully Dog better (yes I have had both), I would go on price, and be very careful if you buy a used on as the VIN may be locked, and this can cause problems.

BTW, welcome to the forum.

Alright thanks guys I can get a deal on a Bully Dog probably cause my friend just opened a Diesel shop and is a dealer through them. Is K&N intake worth it? I can get one for cheap also but havent heard too much about them. Right now I removed my airbox and just put a cone filter on the stock tube and it seemed to help a little.

I can get onea K&N for close tohalf retail cost so it would be nice. I found an Ebay kit that looks identical to the AEM Brute Froce and it comes with a throttle body spacer. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...mZ230210131276Does this look like a decent kit for around 100?
