Hey all new to this forum. Names Brandon and im 18.Just bought my dream truck about2months ago. Had to save since i was like 9for the downpayment lol. I got a 2004 dodge ram Hemi 1500 4x2.So farivegot a single 40 series flowmaster with 3 1/2 pipes. Another 40 and h pipe will be comingsoon. Tinted out all the the windows, 5% in back, 15% in front.Now this is where i need some help. There are so many modsi dont know where i want to go with it. Kinda leanin towards levelingout the front, putting 33x12.5 Nitto Terra Grapplers tires on it.WithPro Comp Xtreme Alloy 7005 series wheels. Wheels are black with chrome and my truck is silver. Will post photos soon. Any suggestions? Ideas?

I've been searching for ways to level my truck out as well. I'vebeen looking at lowering the rear by 2", but have run into many road blocks because of the style shackle Dodge uses. Most say that 3/4" to 1" is more realistic with shackles. I didn't want to raise the front, so I've even looked at new springs from Eibach and Eaton. The Eibach's claim is a 3.8" drop, and Eaton's says 2" drop over stock. I just found tonite a shackle from Moe's Performance. does anyone have any experience with this shackle, or anything else that might lower the rear a couple of inches? I'm not looking for a flip kit that will drop the bottom out.

welcome to the forum hemiguy... you have a nice lookin truck there! i would reccomend checking out slammed1.com he has a lot of suspension products for 2wd trucks!! 33's are a good idea for a 1500 35's is too much for a leveling kit IMO

 

Your '04 4x2 uses a coil over front suspension, unlike the '02-'05 4x4s which use a torsion bar front suspension. Coil spacers are very inexpensive, fairly easy to install, provided you rent a spring compression tool from your local auto parts store, and will give your truck a nice level stance.They will also maintain the ride characteristics of the stock setup, as you are just puttinga small spacer on top of the spring. It is also important to understand that you may find it neccessary to replace your stock shocks up front with a slightly longer model as it is possible to "bottom out" the stock shocks onsome severe bumps, some find that the stockers are not quite long enough for the extra height of the springs with the spacers.

 

I have '04 quad cab 4X4 1500, with a leveling kit by Ready Lift. Rides great.
