Default Squeaky Brake

The front driver's side brake squeaks on my 02 Ram, only when the brake is lightly applied or braking at low speed (less than 15mph). I've tried new pads, and checked the brake rotor for scoring, and checked the caliper to see if any debris got into it and found nothing. Anyone have a similar problem or any advice on how to fix that godaweful squeak?

Same thing happens on mine, but not sure which brake is doing it. Never had a problem until I recently rotated my tires and then all of a sudden there a squeak. I haven't tried to fix it since I really don't give a ****. I guess some brake pad grease would work.

I do a lot of city driving, stop and go rush hour traffic that sort of stuff, but I'm not abusive to my truck; not constantly hard on the brakes or riding the brakes. Please forgive my ignorance, tdmopar, but what do you mean by "glazing them over?"

well often time when people speed up and slam on the brakes often you will notice the bads and rotors are really shiny... its referenced as "glazed" at least around here it is... so you will have to sand them both nicely and then clean em off... then be nicer to the brakes! lol

in that diy you will see what i meant by sanding them...

ok, I understand now, thank you. my rotors don't look particularly shiny though, but I don't suppose sanding them will hurt. thanks for the link
