Default Cleaning under the truck

Anyone ever heard of spraying clear coat (or black) on some of the parts under the truck to keep it from rusting?

any suggestions? or is this just a bad idea?

yeah, go to Ziebart and have them spray the underside of the truck...i had em do my ramcharger and told em to do everything underneath that doesnt move or get hot and i also had em do the inside of the doors and all that stuff....cost me like $200 to have em do it and its well worth the money IMO....i'm doing my ram when spring rolls around

Whatever you do stay clear of the drive shaft. Painting can actually throw it out of balance.

I painted my rear axle on my Hemi and put in the rear liners. I also clean the liners when I wash and wipe down the under side of the engine when I change oil. Other than that I am letting it go. So far it is still fairly clean.

You can also get it undercoated, I never liked that though, they end up spraying things that should not be.

THANKS!

I found a zeibart 50 miles from my house - I am going to check it out.

I would assume if you had them do the undercoating they would not spray the "hot parts" or anything else that shouldn't be sprayed?

Thanks.
does the factory do this anyway? should I check on my factory sheet?

well you would think they wouldnt spray any of that stuff but i told em anyways cause i dont think they guys at this one were the smartest people on the block....the factory doesn't do it, it'd be nice if they did but thats more money they gotta spend which would raise the price of the truck prolly $2000 lol
