hey guys whats up?

I just got back from a trip to Fla...Me and my gf went on a cruise and beings driving down there was cheeper than flying, i drove there and back. So anyway, when i'm crusing at say 70 MPH, if i punch it to pass someone, the truck will bang hard, then start to rev, then downshift.Its almost like its slams something....does that sound like the tq converter unlocking? i cant see the MDS turning off and making the truck jolt.

What worries me is that i have a 70 nova that i take to the track, if i go to pass someone when towing, will it bang any harder cause its under a loadand really jolt the truck, its kinda annoying. What do you all think???

By the way...i was gettting about450 miles to a 25 gallon tank doing about 75...so around 18 MPG
As soon as i went over 75 and was going 80MPH and up...it was around 16 MPG
And if was doing 65 with traffic, and drove normal....i saw 23 MPG.

Thats not bad for what i was thinking i would get huh?

 

yea thats pretty good on the MPG as far as the clunk it depends... was it really hard or just something noticable... you could always talk to jarrett and see if they have any input the truck is brand new...

 

Really hard, meaning you would lunge forward about 6 inches as it thumped, almost like a hesitation followed by something catching(thump), then pulling hard.....if thats understandable

 

i think i understand... talk to the stealer... to new to even bother with it.. that just sounds wrong..
