I have about 40,000 km's on my HANKOOK Dynapro MT RT03's. They worked great in snow, mud, and gravel roads. they have very little highway noise as well. I paid 220. + tax for each here in Canada. I bet they will get at least another 25-30,000 KM's before they need to be changed
two of my buddies run these tires... they're cheap and have decent tread...

I think your best bang for the buck are going to be Maxxis - I have a set of Maxxis Bighorns - 305x70x17 mount and balance for right at 800 - that's a 34" mud terrrain tire for less than a grand.

Have almost 7K on them and theyare looking great no visible wear - they ride well on the road with a mild hum at hwy speeds - I have had them on gravel/dirt roads/mud and they have performed great - Highly recommend!
Can't say anything about the Bighorns, as I don't recall knowing anyone that has them, but I knowa couple of guys who had the Maxxis Buckshot Mudders. Those things wear out faster on pavement than any tire I've ever seen. They do real well in mud when new, but the buddy of mine who had them replaced them at 13,000 miles cause they wore so bad on the road that they became like slicks in the mud...

BFG All Terrain T/A KO. had them on my 98 gmc 2500 got 56000 on them when i traded it in and they still had useable tread. when my factory BFG Rugged Trails wear out i will upgrade to the T/A KO's
Are those quiet? I've had tires that made so much noise they were really unpleasant to use. How do those perform in the wet? I'm not particularly interested in off-road performance. The only off-roading I do is going around some genius who can't figure out how to turn left.
