what is the difference between a flowmaster 40 series, 44 series, and 50 series? Is it just size..sound or both?

 

im not sure much about what makes them diff but i do know that they r very diff in sound. the 40 is the loudest the 44 is 2nd loudes but pritty close and the 50 is 3rd.
