Electronic Throttle Control (ETC)
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and had a problem this morning I wondered if anyone else has encountered. Its cold where I live right now (-15 to -20 celcius)and this morning, I started my truck to let it warm up. I went back into the house to grab a coffee, and when I came back out 15min later, the truck had stalled and the "Electronic Throttle Control" light was flashing. I restared the truck, and drove the 100km to work. The light stayed off, and I drove the at different speeds, hard acceleration, cruise control etc. It wasn't ideling rough and didn't seem to hesitate or be low on power. It is cold here, but it has been way colder before and the light has never come on so I don't think it has anything to do with the temperature.
It is a 2004 Ram 1500 QC 4X4 with the 5.7L Hemi. I have no mods done to the truck and it has 140000km.
If anyone else has had a problem with the "ETC" please shed some light on this and what the fix was. Any help would be appreciated.
I have been reading the forum for awhile now and there is definatley a wealth of knowledge and good advice here.
Thanks again.
