Hammer,
You are very right that the Nitto Mud Grapplers are a noisy tire that doesnt wear that great, but its works great offroad. The tires that we have been using for racing and DD is the Toyo MT. They are a E load range tire that is almost like the old BFG MT because they are great on and off road.
I've long been a fan of Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek offerings for their performance on & off road as well as their long wearing characteristics but I won't dispute that Toyo M/T's are among the best combination on/off road tire made. My only real issue with them is the price...

Once Again I Researched The Sh*t Outta This Subject.. N8 Got Me Interested In the Nitto Terra Grapplers and I Roamed Into Looking At The Muds. I Found Numerous People That Have Had And Went Through The Muds And NOT ONE Actually Said That It Was A Good Buy. They Said They Were Impossible To keep Balanced and Wore Out So Quick.. 2 Guys SaidAfter 6k They Wouldn't Even Mud Them.

Unless The Dodge Is Strickly For Non Pavment.. Someone Couldn't Take Enough Off The Price For The Nitto Terra Grappler Muds. With The Nitto Terra Grappler There Are Mixed Reviews.

Nah, I'm just picking on him for his choice of tire. I've never owned Pro Comps, but I know better than a half dozen guys in one of my hunting clubs in Ga. where I used to live who would never buy them again. I can specifically recall a conversation one evening around a bonfire where there was some moonshine being passed around where it was decided the next guy that recommended Pro Comps to a member in attendance would be used for target practice.
Seriously, they are marketed huge in south Ga. (an I'm sure everywhere else). You can't go into a tire store without seeing huge posters hanging on the walls. Hell, you even see the banners in some of the gun shops in and around town. A lot of guys buy them, ONCE, I can't honestly recall one guy I hunt/fish/off-road with that has had them who would recommend them to anyone.
So, I can not attest to them since I never had a set, but when I got buddies who tell me they would never own another set, and I'm looking at a bald set of X-Terrains that the owner tells me that they only have 18k miles on them, then I'm gonna spread the word to anyone getting ready to drop hundreds of hard earned dollars on tires.
So, Greggie and I disagree when it comes to tires, he's a big boy, he made a decision and spent his own money. I just want to reserve the "I told you so" clause for use in a year or two...

You try to collect on that warranty, buddy. I've not known anyone been able to collect on a manufacturers tire warranty yet. The roadhazard one you get from a tire dealer, yea, but never on a warranty from the manufacturer. If those A/T's are ANYTHING like their M/T's or X/T's you'll be in the tire market again in 20-25k miles...
