Default muffler recommendations

I currently have a super 40 series on my truck but I need your guys's help...which muffler would you prefer for a more louder sound? flowmaster or a cherry bomb?

Thanks

I have had great luck with the Flowmaster SUPER 44. When I first had my system put in I also had 3" in/out magnaflow cat put in as well. The truck was loud as hell. I went on ahead and had the magnaflow cat gutted anways, and it got even more loud. Now I have longtube headers with an o/r y-pipe, gutted cat, super 44 muffler, and 4"x22" tips, and it's REDICULOUS, while still retaining that flowmaster signature tone and doesn't sound cheap like a glasspack or a cherrybomb. Check my youtube videos out in my signature to get a feel for it.

that sounds nasty but I don't have as big an engine as you and I don't have dual exaust so I wont get as much result as you do concerning the loudness though, right?

I'm not so sure about that, I think a super 44 would sound amazing on a newer dodge. Those engines are really potent. I think you should gut your cat and put a dual outlet super 44 muffler on there. Get some nice long tips too to really echo the exhaust note too. You go flying by someone with that combo (gutted cat, super 44, longtips)..you'll shake their car off the road and it will sound MEAN

I dont know....some people like straight pipes, but it's just not my style. I like a loud truck that retains tone. Straight pipes get a little too slappy and raw for my taste, but some trucks do sound nice with them. It's all about your preferance of sound. Some guys love straight pipes, other guys love that hollow tin can sound that a flowmaster gives you...ME, yeah, I love flowmaster, they make a good muffler.

As said before, straight pipes are the loudest, but some people dont like the tone. I'm not sure about the laws here in NJ, so I wanted to have it as loud as possible with being somewhatlegal. Yes I have a race muffler, but then again, at least I do have a muffler. With the stock exhaust manifold and cat as well as pipes that go all the way out the back, I am able to run a single chamber muffler without any noticible low end torque loss. Check out the Cherry Bomb Extreme or Flowmaster 10. The FM is only si/so. You can get the CBE si/do (which is what I did). I'm gunna make video of my exhaust when In about 2 weeks when I should finally have some time.
