SRT Hood Questions
Looking at getting a SRT hood for my Dodge.
Is the one you order from Dodge is all steel?
I am also looking at this hood which is fiberglass and kevlar? Is there any draw backs from getting a fiberglass hood? Does it crack easy? Once painted can you tell that it is a cheap hood? Any help would be great.

the problem i've heard with fiberglass hoods is they are harder to get the fitment right....steel hoods are easier....this is just what i've heard.....but i would deffinitly get a steel SRT hood before a fiberglass one
Keeps bug off windshield? and rock chipson front of hood. This is my first dodge truck maybe you do not need it. On the Ford and Chevy it seemed to help with the bugs and stone chips on the fron of the hood.

i have one on my truck.. but mainly bc it came with it... but with a ram air hood i would imagine the bug shield out send the air away from the scoop... ive never seen the hood and bug shield... plus it would prolly take away from the look......
Is it actually a functional ram air scoop? 90% of the OEM ones aren't. More than likely it's only there for looks. But, I do agree, a scoop and an bug guard would look funny.
