Default Re-burn your Hemi computer chip...???

A wild question... With the 2009 Dodge 1500 Hemi coming out with much like the Tundra spec... 375 Hp..401 Ft Lb. torque... Do you think Dodge could/would re-burn your 2006/07/08 Hemi computer chip to match the 2009 Dodge 1500 Hemi..??? Has anyone thought about this...??? Doug M.

its not that simple, if you look at some of the specs on the new hemi, it has variable valve timing which probably attributes to alot of that horsepower gain.

VVT makes up all of the gained HP....nothing else has really changed besides that on the new 5.7

following the 13% drivetrain loss rule: 380 x 0.87 = 330.6hp, although the transmission on the hemis have been notoriously ineffecient, so hemiyellow's guess is probably more accurate, unless the 09 Rams are getting a better tranny

They have not said anything about a new transmission so it makes me think we are stuck with the same 5 speed.

Oh how I wish it was coming with new 6 speed. But we can wish.

Actually I think I read something saying that is was still the 545 RFE, not 100% on that though so I could be wrong.
