i have a truxedo truxport. i like it cause there are no snaps up and down the sides...only fastening mechanism is the back rail that snaps into place. so, even in winter i can open it and close it...whereas my last truck i had to unbutton that ****...it sucked. also, the rails are attached to the bottom of the tonneau too...so, it's just rolls up with the cover.

i've had caps and covers and liked them all. did not like the weight, always had to find help to remove and set on. bought a used undercover tonneau for my 06,installed it in 10 min. and as it weighs only 58 lbs,can be removed and installed in 60 sec. by myself. bought on craigs list for 300.00 bucks! with the security of a hard cover. also have a pop-n-lock power tailgate lock

I have the retrax. It is a rolling cover. It is a super hard plastic. It itakes a little more room to roll it up then the soft ones, but it is more secure. Here is the link. http://www.rolltopcover.com/
They also sell electric locks for the tailgate, which I got as well.

I LOVE my trifecta!!! It's one of the better tonneaus I've ever owned. It's letterally takes 30 to FULLY remove or install. Takes 2 seconds to flip it open....no messing around with snaps and braces. It's actually pretty water tight for a soft tonneau too. They did a nice job on the gaskets.

Ive got an under cover and love it easy on easy off . light weight w/ great locks. I,m a carpenter and keep my tools in the bed of the truck most of the time, but when I wanna ride my dirt bike I just pop the tonneu of and bam open bed. They're great.

My truck came with the tailgate rail protector, but not the side rail ones... do you think if I put my tonneau on the rails and the tailgate is about 1/8" higher, will that make a difference? I'd hate to spend around $90 on the side rail protectors just to put a tonneau cover on it anyways.

what about one of them retractable covers. They cost a little more but they are neat. act like a fiberglass cover but easily open for the open space

That is what my retrax is. I love it. It rolls up and I have most of my bed anytime I need it. If I had to I could take it off. It is 4 clips and pretty easy to remove.
