Default Tonneus Covers?

Would anyone like to weigh in on a tonneau cover conversation? I'm looking into them because I need one. I have an '07 1500 QC, short bed and I live in CO. I tow my sled to the mountains all the time, but want to use the bed of my truck to store all my gear without getting snowed on. I've been looking into these folding tonneau covers...I like the convenience factor! I've always liked the look of the fiberglass covers, but my brother has one and I think it really take away from the practical uses of a TRUCK! Anyone have any suggestions?

Well, on the cover that I had, the C clamps took like 8 seconds each to remove. So I could have the cover off in under 2 minutes. I prefer a fiberglass cover for the security they provide. A cloth cover is too easy to cut into.

I too wanted a hard cover but didn't want to compromise on the rare ocassion that I need to have something in the bed that a hard cover might not allow. So I compromised and got an Extang Full Tilt. Hinges like a hard cover so you don't haveto unsnap the whole deal to use the bed every day, and at the same time you can take the whole thing off by your self like a hard cover and have unrestricted use of the bed. I thought I was settling but it's turned out to be great for the past year and a half. For the price I don't think you can go wrong. Take a look it sounds kinda like what you're looking for.

find out the # that fits your truck, then check Amazon.com and see if they have it. I just ordered an Extang Tuff Tonno III for mine for about $50 less than most places, and free shipping.

If you go the bak-flip route, order it straight from the factory. They give you free shipping, it's around $630, which I haven't seen it much cheaper than that. Anyway, ordering straight from the factory you'll most likely get it faster as EVERYONE on the internet just drop ships it from the factory anyway...

Hey, thanks for the help fellas. I think the BakFlip is probably just what I'm looking for. Although with this system I believe I will have to install a locking tailgate which I currently do not have.

That price is great! What do you know about a power lock? Does Bullydog make one?

I got a Snug Top www.snugtop.com
I got the F2, it comes with the option to power lock and a light (an extra 300)
IMO , it looks the best out of all the other brands I saw
