My Dad owns an '03. Bought it new and it has 90,000 miles on it and so far he has changed the oil, brake pads, and tires. Not even kidding, the guy hasn't so much as changed the spark plugs! It still gets 17mpg highway, and rides like it did new. This was part of the reason I bought a ram for myself. From the sounds of it you will have a LOT less problems then you did with your old Ford truck!

well my problems honestly werent with ford trucks.. my sister and g/f both own ford explorers aka exploders and my mustang when it was stock was.. amazing. The explorers are falling apart, to the extent the handlers on the seats broke (warranty doesnt cover it) and the mustang, well cracked manifold, blown out spark plugs, etc. I did build the mustang to make it as fast as it is, but i will never own another ford unless it is a Ford GT (come on its a collectable). Once again thank you for the greetings and i look forward to contributing knowledge and information to this forum, which seems a hell of a lot more mature than mustangforums.com.

I've had no problems at all...although I've only had my truck for about three months now. I'm lovin' it, though. Lookin' forward to spending my hard-earned money on this truck.

Hey mfs212, how much would it cost me to fully Dynamatt my truck?

03's come with several problems some mentioned already.

1) PS pump loose clamps/leaks

2) The dreaded C clip issues if you have the stock LSD.

3) The ac cooling fan fouling up on ice if it's freezing causing the AC cooling fan fuse to blow.
The fan can't move due to the blades being frozen into any water left standing in the AC coolinf fan shroud.

4) Valve springs collapsing/snapping, dropping valves into cylinders. Usually #3 piston.

Hope this helps?

Al.

welcome to the forum[sm=massbounce.gif]. Me and my frined are actually converting a 96 gt to a cobra.
awesome.. my stang has a built MMR motor, fully forged kenne bell 2.1 intercooled at 18 psi stage 3 heads and cams from VTengines (before they shut down) full suspension, built rear and a 3200 stall. runs about a 10.6 here in Vegas on slicks. The 2 valves are notorious for torque, only reason why i didnt switch to 4 valves.

hope all goes well. good luck!!
