Default What To Expect?

So, I have made my final choices for my 2008 Ram 1500 QC with 5.7 Hemi. I am adding the Vararam Hemi Under Glass and a Magnaflow exhaust. Dodge says the Hemi should produce 345 hp and 375 torque, what sort of gains might I realistically expect after making these 2 additions? How about gas mileage gains? Thanks.

Well I cant find ANY specs of that intake, all they say is
[*]Reduces 0-60mph times by as much as 1 full second on 4x4s and 3/4 of a second on 2wd hemi trucks
[*]Reduces 1/4 miles times by as much as 3/4 of a second! We guarantee you at least 3 tenths and 3mph no matter which truck you have.[*]Gives more performance improvement than: Headers Cat back exhaust Power programmers Pulleys And so much more

They dont give any other information, no dyno charts, no hp/tq ratings......

Realistically it will probably add an additional 15hp(+/-) for the combo, and your mpg will probably go down cause you will more than likely want to give it a little more gas to be able to hear your exhaust. If you dont change your driving habbits at all you may see your mpg go up 1-2mpg though.

You won't see any difference.

First remember the 345 and 375 is at the crank - that is not what you are putting down - the industry standard is a 15% loss from crank to rw. I think the HEMI is around 17% avg. loss.

realisticaly I doubt you'll feel a thing out of it. Maybe your mpg will go up a tad, and perhaps under full load you'll have gained some efficiencies (i.e. flow), but day to day traffic grind, etc. probably nada. So why do it ? 'Cuz it's fun, it looks cool, and it's your ride and you take pride in it so you should be able to enjoy it....I'm saying this having modified my own truck (and practically ever other vehicle I've owned)...I know most of the "best scenario" numbers K&N and every other manuf. gives are generally WOT which is not what I'm at often, but I do it 'cuz I bust my butt for my paycheck and I enjoy fiddlin' with my ride. The only thing I've done (which isn't a huge list) on my truck that I went "wow" on was the re-gear. Drop down to some 4.56's and gas it and that'll garuntee a smile on your face
