if you don't want the rear to sag when towing look into supersprings or any other helper spring. they help when loaded but when unloaded your truck will ride normal.

I have two words for you - AIR BAGS. I have a set and will put them on every truck I get from now on. Relatively inexpensive, easy to install in the driveway and infinately adjustable for anything from an empty bed to a full overloaded bed and heavy towing.
You can cheap out like I did and just install the included valve or get a variety of on board compressors with manual or automatic control.
The only deviation I made from the standard install is that instead of drilling holes in the frame and mounting the included bolts, I welded mine to the frame.

If you keep them aired down to like 5-10 lbs. you don't even know you have them...

With my ATV way back in the bed, I find 30 lbs. keeps the truck perfectly, that's with 650 lbs. sitting VERY far to the back, so I'd imagine you cauld haul/tow quite a load as max. air capacity is 100 lbs. on my particular model...
I've stuck 75 lbs. in them with no load just 'sparimenting one day and found I got about an inch and half to 2" lift out of it, but the ride was stiff and you really bounced the back a lot, kinda like a 1/2 ton with nothing in the bed, you'd not want to use them for the purpose of a lift but for their intended purpose they are awesome...

Hammer has the ride control set up by air lift and I have the heavy duty bags by firestone called ride- rite. Mine can hall 5000 more pounds while the others can handle up to 2 or 3000

Kx250, love the bags, hate the shocks, but love the bags.

Air lift has the 5k bags too, but since I only got mine to level with the ATV in the bed and it does so at only 30-35% capacity I saw no reason for overkill. I mainly chose the Air Lifts because the guy who got them for me at cost has two tire stores and it's the only brand his distributor carries. Plus Air Lift has some VERY cool on-board compressor set-ups. I actually only knew of the Firestone's but when I inquired about them, the tire shop owner told me that when he was a Firstone store they had problems with the bags dry rotting over time, but that was in the 70's, so I won't hold it against them thirty years later, hell the technology from then till now, I wouldn't be surprised if all brands dry rotted back then. Of course, the fact that he only carries Air Lift's may have swayed his opinion also...

I do to but long story I just asked 4wheelparts any shock that would work. Long story short guy didnt know **** plus im hoping to get a ranch lift in the future. Or I might trade in the truck for something newer

bags are the way to go. 18 wheelers use them so that pretty much explains itself.
