Default air from heater is not hot enough

Hey guys do not take offense at my log-in, I am a ford guy....But I have a good friend that needs help with her ram...The heat is not that hot actually slightly warm, just enough to take the chill out....The coolant has been checked and is good, the thermostat was checked and also fine, plenty of air comes out of the vents....water pump is fine and she had the heater core flushed, but still no hot heat.......Any ideas???

Try blocking off a fair amount of the radiator and see what that gets. If that helps, I'd still want a look at the t-stat. Heck, change it anyway. It isn't hard to do. Whoops, forgot it's a Ford. Still probably easy to access.Blocking the radiator should produce more heat.

Had a 2001 Ram 1500 with the 5.2L. My heater was the same way, replaced the water pump, T-stat, flushed the heater core/Rad. The most effectie thing I idi was jack up the passenger side as high as I could get it and run the truck without the cap on it to try to get all the air out of the heater core. You cold actually hear the water gurgling in it when it ran sometimes. This helped a lot but it never completely fixed it. Trade it in for a new one, thats wat I did.

First Dodge was a 2001 SLT Extra Cab. Exact same issue. It was horribly cold at highway speeds. Bought a grill cover after replacing the thermostat and water pump and flush and fill. Worked great.

Did you check the radiator cap??? If it doesn't hold the proper pressure it can cause similar issues

Thanks for replies and not beating me up for being a ford guy.......To answer the gauge ? the gauge reads in the middle.....All of the replies have given us a place to start....She had called the dealer about having the heater core replaced and they wanted over 850 for labor, not including parts.....As far as owning a dodge, my mom has had a 99 intrepid that was really an awesome car, and now she has a grand caravan that my wife and the kids and I take on trips because it's bigger than the wifes explorer....Anyway thanks for the replies and my friend is really appreciative...
